Guilt-free Chocolate!

Chocolate lovers like me do not really need any reason to indulge in the sinfully wonderful dessert / snack but it is wonderful sometimes to learn that eating chocolate is good for your health! Here’s a video on the benefits of eating chocolate everyday which I found interesting:

Now, let’s get down to business. I found this sugar-free, dairy-free, low GI, gluten-free chocolate called Mini Blues over at Cold Storage and couldn’t resist but buy it to try.

I have this obsession for dark chocolate and truffles so spending RM4.90 for each of this truffle is nothing, although by normal standards, it is very expensive. Bear in mind that these are only one-portion bite size chocolate so close to RM5 for a bite of chocolate is expensive.

Now, we come to the taste.

The Gourmet Dark truffle is absolutely heavenly. It had me at first bite. Honestly. I am saying this not because I love dark chocolates but because these are really good despite the fact that it is sugar free and uses artificial sweetener.

It is very rich with just a tinge of bitterness and when you bite into it, you can taste the creamy centre of the truffle. Yummy.

As for the Hazelnut flavour, I was a little disappointed because I do not taste much hazelnut. In fact, it tasted almost like the Dark Gourmet flavour. Other than that, it is just as smooth, creamy and delicious. The taste of it sliding down my throat is enough to have me begging for more. Unfortunately, my pocket could not afford it.
