Have you ever tried Tomyam Porridge?
I usually do not like to eat porridge outside because of its watery and bland nature. The only porridge I really do eat is home-cooked, specifically by me. So, to my delight, we found this wonderful coffee shop which sells Tomyam porridge which is far from bland. I have this thing for Tomyam, or everything hot and spicy for that matter, so this porridge is really my kind of thing!
The porridge is cooked just nice, not too mushy and soft. The Tomyam flavour goes quite well with it too!

The taste: Tasty, spicy, a tinge of sour just like any Tomyam
Other option: They also have tomyam beehoon, noodle or maggi mee if you don’t like porridge
Rating: 8/10
The shop offers other soup-based dishes like beehoon soup, plain porridge and noodles soup. You get to choose the ingredients; prawns, minced pork, pork offals, fish, fishballs.
The place to go for this:
Kedai Kopi Sin Eng
Jalan Permatang Pauh, Butterworth
(next to Petronas petrol station, near Taman Bagan. For the map, click here)

Time: Open daily except Sundays and public holidays – 6pm till midnight
Prices: Between RM4 – RM9 each bowl, depending on ingredients
