I’ve never really been to the Balik Pulau pasar malam and don’t even know when it’s on until we stumbled upon it last Sunday and find it to be a really great place for some authentic Malay food. Just check out the pictures…
There are quite a few satay stalls in the pasar malam but we think this one is the best at 30 per stick and it tastes good.
The pasar malam have stalls selling satay, keropok lekor, roast chicken, kuih and a few types of noodles. What attracted me was this
It looks different from the conventional putu.
So, I bought a packet of two pieces for RM1.
It is in a cyclinder shape but other than that, it tastes exactly like Putu Piring. Soft and with brown sugar and coconut. It is good and cheap. Really great as a snack.
So, go on over to the Balik Pulau pasar malam every Sunday evening.
