This hawker complex used to be called the Seahorse Food Court when it first opened and initially, it has quite a lot of really great stalls offering really delicious hawker food. We have stopped going there for several years after moving further away from Tanjung Bungah. So, recently, we decided to go there to meet up with some friends.

Golden Sand Bayview Food Corner

There are still quite a few hawker stalls still surviving there but not as much as in the ‘old’ days. It has been renamed (I heard it’s due to change in owner) and it is now called Golden Sand Bayview Food Corner.

Claypot chicken rice

The best stall in this place is the claypot chicken rice which is delicious and cooked just nice.

Bak Kee Noodles Soup

This is a different type of food that is not usually found. I understand it is a type of Teochew noodles. The bak kee is made of pork covered in starch and fried to give it a crunchy and sticky consistency and then cooked with mee suah.

The food we ordered at the food court

The prices for the food there are pretty reasonable but not exactly cheap. As with everything nowadays, the prices have increased. Prices are from RM3.50 per plate onwards. The centre also has other hawker foods like char koay teow, western food, fried Indian noodles, fried oyster omelette and etc, etc.
