Pan Mee at Bukit Jambul

I’ve heard of this famous pan mee stall in Bukit Jambul from quite a few people. Although I am not really into pan mee, some friends took me to this coffee shop to try it once many years ago and I have totally forgotten about it. So, recently, when we do have the time to go all the way to Bukit Jambul for breakfast, I gave the place another try.

The corner coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the flats in Bukit Jambul and it is only open for breakfast.  I like that it is right next to a small field full of fresh air and loads of greenery. It is mostly famous for pan mee but it also has dim sum as the additional side dishes.

Pan Mee

This is the ‘dry’ pan mee with sauce and a small bowl of soup on the side. The rice noodles are quite smooth in texture and yes, it is most probably freshly made by the stall owner and not store bought. I like the sauce too and the noodles go very well with crunchy anchovies and minced meat.

Pan Mee (soup)

The soup version with the thicker noodles, very much like koay teow but somehow taste different. They have a choice of either the thin noodles or the thick noodles. The soup version is also quite tasty. So, if you have a craving for pan mee, do give this place a try because it is good.
