550ml: Whenever I bake, I usually just use whatever I have on hand...since we have loads of Fuji apples at home, so might as well use those rather than go out and buy granny smiths. Besides, I don't follow conventional ways too much...heheh..

cklam: thanks for the tag! I'll need some time to 'work' on it...heheheh...by the way, it goes VERY WELL with ice cream!

Freya: Actually I was wondering what to call this as I feel that tastes more like Apple Crumble!

Tom: heheh..thanks.

HoneyB: the innate chocolate lover in me is the one who decides to dump in choc chips as an experiment to see how it turns out. Well, it turned out pretty good.

thepinkpeppercorn: thanks.

Jessie: I had used all sorts of tactics from cold silence to miffed expression to puppy-dog hurt expression...seems like the best way is to just stuff the dessert into the fridge and let him 'discover' it on his own.

Reeni: I KNOW! If only I could hate desserts, then I won't be struggling to fit into my skinny jeans from before my pregnancy...

Hates desserts? I don't even know what to say to that. That's a dieter's dream, if only I could be the same! But then I'd be missing out on lots of delicious dishes, like this apple crisp. I can see why he would give in and try it and like it, it looks perfectly decadent.

I have never seen chocolate in apple crisp - what a great idea! Looks delish.

Grumpy isn't much of a dessert person either, but he does eat certain desserts. Most of my baked goodies go to work because I can't eat them all myself!

Delicious! Reminds me of our Apple Crumble which is very similar. I love the randon drizzling of golden syrup too!

That looks heavenly! I imagine it would gather a whole bunch of dessert-phobic to converts! Your choice of Fuji apples was deliberate or accidental? I would've thought that the convention would be to go with Granny Smiths.
