Chicken Recipes Series
The Food Critic simply loves burgers so other than the herbed burger, I decided to try making a different type of burger. This time around, I used only minced chicken and instead of herbs, I tried it with some black pepper and chili, thus it’s called spicy chicken burger. This is also another one of my chicken breast recipes.
This is my second attempt at making my own burgers and I find that it is pretty simple and I could add whatever seasoning I like to make it taste great! So, no more store-bought burgers for us. From now onwards, it is all homemade burgers in Foong’s house.
Spicy Chicken Burger Recipe
Chicken Breast Recipes Series
Ingredients
400g minced chicken
2 tbsp instant oats
1 large egg, lightly beaten
Seasoning:
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp chilli flakes
1 tsp sugar
Instructions
4. Then, using a fork, thoroughly mix in the oats.
6. Heat up some cooking oil, then, use a ladle to scoop a ladleful of the chicken to drop it into the heated oil to fry.

8. Fry it over medium heat till it turned a nice brown colour before removing it and draining the oil
Now, these are essentially chicken patties so you can eat it as a burger like this…
Otherwise, you can serve it up with some fresh greens, fries and top it with some simple garlicky brown sauce, like this:
The chicken burger has a slight spiciness to it but if you prefer it to be more spicy, then add a few more spoons of chili flakes to it. Since both The Food Critic and Mr Picky can’t really eat very spicy food, I had to only add a bit of chili flakes just for the flavour.
Enjoy!
