I have this thing for baked chicken breast recipes, mainly because it is so easy to prepare and secondly because it is healthy, lean white meat cooked in an oil-free way. Now, baked chicken are usually soft and moist so what if I wanted something crunchy? I do love fried chicken but it is not all that healthy to be eating fried chicken all the time. Besides, deep frying stuff always left the kitchen oily and that means I have to do loads of clean-up. Uggghhh…the only thing I hate about cooking is the cleaning . . . → Read More: Chicken recipes: Crunchy baked chicken recipe
I know I am supposed to post the results of my Pay it forward contest I held in December last month but….one thing led into another and it clearly slipped my mind until now. Heheheh…sorry.

Flowers have always been the main ‘thing’ for Valentine’s Day but The Food Critic is not really big on giving me flowers (the last time I got a bouquet of flowers was so many years ago, I don’t even remember when it was).

Apple juice has been used to season meat overnight for really tender meat so I figured, using fresh apples to bake it with chicken should do the . . . → Read More: Chicken Recipes: Baked Chicken Breast with Apples
I’ve loved chocolate brownies for the longest time ever so it is not a surprise, really, when I baked one for my birthday and almost finished the whole lot myself. Hey, I did say almost…so I am not all that greedy. There were some left for The Food Critic and Mr Picky. Anyway, I found the Best Ever Chocolate Brownie recipe over at Recipes2Share and since it is pretty simple, I thought I might as well bake it as a treat for myself. Heck, I did turn older and eating chocolate brownies is very, very comforting. So, I pigged . . . → Read More: I baked my own birthday cake which is not a cake but the best ever chocolate brownie
Firstly, sorry for the silence…I don’t know why but time seems to move so fast and before I know it, it has been almost a week since I last updated this blog! Time sure do flies, it is already my birthday and I felt as if I just celebrated my last birthday.
Sigh…one year older, a tonne more wrinkles, an even more sluggish metabolic rate, more food turning into padding on my hips and waist…I will have to say, I don’t feel any wiser than last year except more tired, more fat, more . . . → Read More: Chicken Recipes: Healthy salmon and chicken burger
