I have several chocolate recipe books and one of it is The Australian Women’s Weekly Sweet and Simple Chocolate recipe book. It has quite a few great recipes that are really sweet and simple. One of it is the Fruit and Nut Choc Chip Cookie Recipe. I tried it out and it was absolutely great! The best thing about it is that it doesn’t need that much sugar too.
It contains dates, almonds, rolled oats and chocolate chips, that’s why it doesn’t need that much sugar.
I know I should have posted this recipe up a long time ago…in fact more than a month ago! But somehow, I got caught up with one thing or another and this blog got neglected yet again. Sigh. Time do flies and it sure is hard finding time to blog even though I have accumulated several recipes to share (including the photos too!).
I baked this cake quite a while bake and did not have the opportunity to bake it again. But still, recipes and pictures don’t grow stale, right?
Yep. You can bake your own Oreos. Seriously. And no, it’s not all that hard either. Trust me. If it’s difficult, I’ll be the first one NOT to try baking it. Okay, maybe not so since I am a real Oreos freak. I mean, who doesn’t love Oreos, right? What’s some mixing and sweat in order to bake your very own Oreos? I mean, once you can make your own, you can eat Oreos anytime you want!
Anyway, the recipe isn’t my own. I found it here. It was actually a recipe for chocolate cookies with vanilla-cream filling. That’s . . . → Read More: Bake your own Oreos cookies
I do have quite a few more simple dessert recipes to share but before I post them, I thought I’d give you a look at them first and also a special ice cream sundae you can do at home with any store bought ice cream.
Ice cream sundae
All you need are some plain vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. For the garnishing, you need chocolate sauce, marshmallow, chocolate chips and plain butter cake (or cheese cake, if you prefer). Just scoop the ice cream onto the dish, dribble on the chocolate sauce, sprinkle the chocolate chips on . . . → Read More: Not a recipe, just sweet dessert pictures to make you salivate
I know I have been going overload on chocolate dessert recipes in the past few post so here is something that does not involve chocolate. Instead, it has apples and though not much healthier or any less sinful, but I guess not as sinful as the chocolate desserts.
I had posted an apple and blueberry crumble recipe before this and also an apple crisp recipe, this recipe is almost similar but it is much simpler with less ingredients. It is a recipe where you just use very few basic ingredients and come up with absolutely delicious golden crumbly apple . . . → Read More: Not a chocolate dessert but still a sweet one involving apples
Honestly, I’ve never even heard of Batik Cake until a friend raved about how great and rich and nice and all that to me. It sure did piqued my interest. The best of it is that it is a non-bake cake. It’s one of those cook over the stove, stir, pat into pan and refrigerate type of cake.
Considering I have been limiting my baking activities because I was not in the mood much nowadays, I thought heck, why not? A non-bake cake with loads of cocoa in it sounds simple and good enough.
Who needs to go to Cameron Highlands for some English tea scones when you can make it at home? I am not really a scone fan but then, that’s because I’ve never had really good ones until I tried some really good ones in Cameron Highland’s Ye Olde Smokehouse Hotel. Those are really amazing.
So.
I decided to make it myself. I mean, if I can bake up cakes and cookies, what are scones, right? Right. So, I went searching around the net and found several recipes until I decided to take whatever I feel comfortable with and wing . . . → Read More: Homemade English tea scones
