Healthy Soya Milk Pudding, well sort of healthy…

Okay, so the past few posts are calorie-loaded, fat-loaded, sinfully wonderful desserts so I think it is only right I put up a comparatively healthier dessert recipe that made its appearance only in recent years. I don’t even know what it’s called but most of the stalls selling this dessert will often label it as Soya Milk Jelly. Well, I would say it is more like a soya milk pudding than anything.

I made it with a can of evaporated milk instead of soya milk since I had that available. It is pretty easy to make actually and does . . . → Read More: Healthy Soya Milk Pudding, well sort of healthy…

Extra Rich Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies

Now that I got your attention…

Another of my favourite dessert definitely has to be brownies. If you search this site, you will probably find that I have two other brownie recipes, a non-bake brownie and the best-ever brownie recipes. Now, what can compete with the best-ever chocolate brownie recipe I had?

Well, if you love peanut butter, you will think this recipe is way better than just chocolate and almonds in the brownies. I mean what is a better combination than peanut butter and chocolate eh? Don’t believe me? Then try it out for yourself.

Creamy, chocolate cheesy Oreo Truffles

I simply love Oreos. And other than eating them plain, I have come across a recipe for Oreo Truffles a few times before and thought it would definitely be great. So, one day, when the craving strikes, I decided to try making my own Oreo Truffles…

And yes, these aren’t exactly round but of odd shapes…but then who cares? We are eating them and no matter the shape, they are good. Really, really good, if I may say so myself. If you love Oreos and cheese cakes, then these are definitely what you should try!!! These are no . . . → Read More: Creamy, chocolate cheesy Oreo Truffles

Extra rich, soft-baked double chocolate cookies

I posted this entry quite a while back but because at that time, I was moving host for this blog and it somehow got lost in space…so, I am re-posting it.

I have not been able to cook or bake for a few months and finally, after all that horrible fatigue and retching, I am feeling much better to be back in action in the kitchen. My energy level is still not as great as it used to be but still, I am able to cooking up some stuff whenever the mood strikes me.

Anyway, after months of nausea . . . → Read More: Extra rich, soft-baked double chocolate cookies

An apple a day means it’s Apple Crumble time

A few months back, I turned my extra apples into a crisp…erm, apple crisp to be exact. So, now I am again inundated with loads of Fuji apples and getting pretty tired of coring and peeling and eating them as it is.

All those chewing on fresh fruits is just so over-rated, I tell you. Let’s dress it up and add more crunch to it, I say. So, this time around, I made Apple and Blueberry Crumble. What’s the difference between apple crisp and apple crumble, you ask?

Well….it’s spelt differently. Isn’t it obvious? Why bother about the . . . → Read More: An apple a day means it’s Apple Crumble time

Valentine flowers, chocolate roses and heart-shaped chocolate mousse cake

Flowers have always been the main ‘thing’ for Valentine’s Day but The Food Critic is not really big on giving me flowers (the last time I got a bouquet of flowers was so many years ago, I don’t even remember when it was).

Still, this year, I got a pleasant surprise when he came back with a plainly wrapped bouquet of white calla lilies and gruffly gave it to me (yes, The Food Critic gets very gruff when it comes to sweet, romantic stuff). Now, calla lilies may not seem romantic to some people but it is quite meaningful . . . → Read More: Valentine flowers, chocolate roses and heart-shaped chocolate mousse cake

I’ve been meaning to post this healthy cornflake snack recipe up before Chinese New Year but I was kinda busy the last week so I didn’t have time to put this up. Anyway, we still have one day to CNY so, what the heck. Might as well post it up!
