The one post when apples aren’t low-calorie and healthy

First, before I start, let me write something about The Food Critic aka My Personal Chef and his hate-hate relationship with desserts.

He hates most desserts. Cakes, pies, cookies and yes *gasp* even chocolates. Which explains his difficulty in putting on weight.

So, each time I decided to bake something, I’d end up eating the whole lot. Every. Single. Time. Which explains my difficulty in losing weight.

Chocolate banana pancake

We happen to have a lot of bananas thanks to my FIL who went banana-crazy and gave us a lot of bananas so we got rather bored of eating two to three bananas a day.

With so many bananas, we probably can’t finish it before it spoils in our tropical humid weather. Instead of letting it go to waste, might as well use the bananas to make pancakes.

Moist non-bake dates and nuts brownie recipe

The other day, my blender broke down on me just as I was preparing a non-bake dates and chocolate brownie recipe I got off from one of the fitness social networking sites I was on. It’s supposed to be healthy and all that since the recipe is sugar free and full of natural ingredients.
