We happen to have a lot of bananas thanks to my FIL who went banana-crazy and gave us a lot of bananas so we got rather bored of eating two to three bananas a day.
With so many bananas, we probably can’t finish it before it spoils in our tropical humid weather. Instead of letting it go to waste, might as well use the bananas to make pancakes.
I found a banana pancake recipe here but I made some modifications to it and turned it into a chocolate banana pancake. To make it even more decadent, I also added . . . → Read More: Chocolate banana pancake
The other day, my blender broke down on me just as I was preparing a non-bake dates and chocolate brownie recipe I got off from one of the fitness social networking sites I was on. It’s supposed to be healthy and all that since the recipe is sugar free and full of natural ingredients.
Since I usually take time to start making special desserts in the evening, it was a bit late to be rushing out to get a new blender. So, no thanks to that lousy blender, I was left with a pile of half-blended dates, almonds, pistachios . . . → Read More: Moist non-bake dates and nuts brownie recipe
As some of you may know already, I am an absolute chocolate junkie.
A chocoholic.
A die-hard chocolate addict.
I’d die if I am told that I’d never be able to eat chocolate ever again. I could not go too long without chocolate, not when I am on a diet, not when I have a really, really bad sore throat and especially not when I ran out of chocolate and had to drive around to all the supermarkets just to find my favourte types of chocolate!
During times of extreme stress, I will usually have this insatiable craving for chocolates. Not just any chocolate but satisfyingly rich, dark chocolate! It is really great that there are so many ways for me to enjoy my chocolates…

If you like honey and you also like chocolate, you will love this recipe for a honey chocolate cake! It is a combination of two of the most wonderful things on earth! Well, other than chocolate and peanut butter, I think honey and chocolate goes quite well together too.
I watch quite a lot of Nigella Lawson’s cooking shows so the honey chocolate cake recipe is her recipe, not mine. However, I’d still like to share it here since it is absolutely wonderful!
I tried my hand at baking my own mooncakes this year for the first time and I chose to make my favourites, chocolate mooncakes. I make my own mooncake skin and I bought ready-made fillings so I don’t waste too much time cooking the fillings.
As it is, making the mooncake dough takes up a lot of time already.
As a chocolate lover, I am always on the lookout for a great place to buy chocolates and I absolutely love the specialty handmade ‘designer’ chocolate shops in a few shopping complexes in KL.
It is too bad that there are no such shops here in Penang but I can probably understand that there are probably not much market here since those chocolates are really expensive and we all know how kiamsiap (stingy) Penangites are.
So, a few months back I stumbled upon The Chocolate Boutique in Leith Street here in Penang. Actually I knew about it when . . . → Read More: Where NOT to buy chocolates
