Kirishima Japanese Restaurant at Cititel Penang

For the longest time, I keep hearing raving great reviews of Kirishima Japanese Restaurant over at Cititel Penang but never did get a chance to try it out. Until recently. Well, we could hardly stay out of Japanese food anyway so it is a matter of time before we tried it out!

So, let’s take a look:

Ambiance is nice enough. Very Japanese and very comfortable. Now, on to the food…

Chawanmunshi has to be one of Mr Picky’s favourite Japanese food so we had to order one for him and surprisingly, Kirishima has . . . → Read More: Kirishima Japanese Restaurant at Cititel Penang

Chicken breast recipes: Japanese Sukiyaki Soup

Chicken Breast Recipes Series

As most of you would know by now, we are Japanese food junkies and The Food Critic especially LOVE the Japanese Sukiyaki soup SO we started cooking our own Sukiyaki soup using chicken breast meat at home instead of spending more $$ on Japanese restaurants.

I haven’t had time till now to get the tonnes of pictures I took of the places we went to eat over the weekend organised and ready to be put up here. Since we’ve never tried the Miraku Restaurant over at G Hotel, we went there for their set lunch.

Mostly, I can’t stand the smell of other normal fish but salmon, especially fresh ones, I think is simply heavenly. Also, I’ve mentioned before that salmon is very healthy and good for the heart.

So, recently, I went and bought a whole salmon and this is how I prepared the fish for two meals.

Japanese buffet at Tao Cuisine

I’ve been to Tao Cuisine in e-Gate a few times already and each time, I really like their delicious food. The most wonderful part is of course the ala-carte buffet where you can order whatever you want from the menu instead of lining up and making do with the buffet line.

They don’t only offer Japanese-style food but also Thai and fusion food. A note of caution to those with young children. They will insist on charging for a child who is over 3 feet tall. My son is almost 3-feet tall (but he is only two years . . . → Read More: Japanese buffet at Tao Cuisine
